UPCOMING EVENT – April 25th: Overwhelmed by all the news and blog sources?

Join us for a free presentation:

Your Money in the Media

Experts will share their views on getting the news we need, especially with respect to your Money and Health Care.

The Falmouth Library’s “Money Smart Week” and Gorham Savings Bank have joined together with some industry professionals to discuss how to better access news in the new world.

WHEN: Wednesday, April 25th, 6pm – 8pm

WHERE: Falmouth Memorial Library – 5 Lunt Road, Falmouth

DOOR PRIZE: Kindle Fire

Listen to experts as they share views on how the web has opened up tremendous opportunity to let us be more informed and make better decisions.  We now have access to more information than the most sophisticated and expensive systems accessed just a few years ago.

The question is, how do we access it in a way that makes sense? How do we qualify the sources? How do we get just the information we need right when we need it? How do we not fall into the abyss of news and pine for the days of just one newspaper in the driveway each morning?

Gren Blackall, SVP and Chief Deposit Officer from Gorham Savings Bank will moderate, with panelists:

And you!  We invite you to share your thoughts at the event and tell us your perspective.

We’ll cover the major to the minor, the paid news data sources, to the news accumulators, blogs, and even how to target specific news with alerts and iPad apps.
